Museum of Senses, Prague

Posted on

We can all remember back in our school days we were learning about the five senses; Sight, Sound, Smell, Taste, and Touch. Now we do take these senses for granted in normal everyday life, but on occasion you may come across a situation where things may seem unusual or they may not be quite what they seem at first. Such unusual senses are very apparent at the Museum of Senses in Prague, and we decided to pay a visit here to see such examples for ourselves.

Use your senses

I won’t mention too much about the different scenes on show here as I don’t want to spoil things for you should you wish to visit this museum yourself. What I can say is that you do make your way through a number of different areas where normal senses go out of the window. One such scenario at the start of your journey is a mirror maze – can you find your way to the exit?

Games and VR

At the end of your journey will can try out some mind-boggling tasks, the kind of games that used to feature on The Crystal Maze. As well as the main museum there is also a Virtual Reality booth where you can ‘travel’ through various different settings including a roller-coaster ride and an ocean full of beautiful fish (and something else).

Whilst I’ve tried not to give too much away I do recommend visiting the Museum of Senses if you are in Prague and looking for somewhere to visit other than the usual tourist spots.
