A real ale pub that had been through a turbulent few years until reopening in the early 2020’s. My favourite pub back in the day so I was delighted to be able to pay a visit to the revitalised Pattenmakers Arms in Duffield.

Formerly a derelict building but now home to a new cafe brought to you by the team behind the Grand Cafe Caruso in Derby. Time to pay a visit to Cafe Villabella.

With the easing of lockdown many small hospitality businesses are now able to open up, initially with outdoor services. One such venue to reopen is The Brunswick Inn in Derby, and I caught up with them to find out how the pandemic has affected the business and his hopes for the re-opening.

For me there’s always something special about eating out at an Italian restaurant, and one particular eatery in Derby is testiment to this. Off to Nico’s, an authentic Italian eatery located just outside Derby city centre.
