Gaia Brunch & Bar, Prague

Gaia Brunch & Bar

It’s April 2026 and we’ve not long arrived in Prague for another few days in the Czech capital. Following a short period of sleep at my parents home in Derbyshire we’ve been up since the early hours, caught the SkyLink Derby bus to East Midlands Airport, got the flight to Prague, touched down, and it’s still morning. Therefore it’s too early to check in to our hotel at Hotel Atos but we can leave the luggage there until later. So we look to kill some time, enjoy some sights, and grab a bite to eat. It’s during this time we come across Gaia Brunch & Bar, a cafe bar that serve up breakfasts and brunches by day, and cocktails by night.

Inside the lounge

Not too much to say about the interior of Gaia other than to say that it’s clean and welcoming inside. There’s a mix of dark coloured walls and wood trim walls, plus some colourful artwork and a classy neon sign of a cocktail glass that obviously looks better when lit up.

Brunch time

As mentioned earlier the menu at Gaia consists of breakfast and brunch dishes. Given that it was still morning we decided that breakfast was the way to go. Although I would regret this later on I wasn’t feeling that hungry myself so decided to go for the light option of the French Breakfast – Croissant, butter, and 200ml orange juice. This dish also comes with jam but I asked for it without jam. As a light morning bite it was OK, but admittedly it was not exactly filling. If I’m being really honest I my fussy-eater syndrome was also kicking in here. Maybe next time I’ll try the Chicken Sausage dish that they also have on the menu (minus the dressing and ketchup for me).

My dining partner, on the other hand, did opt for something a bit more substantial and went for the Tofu Eggs – tofu, turmeric, Dijon mustard, onion, mixed leaf salad, cherry tomatoes, olive oil, gluten-free bread.

Good Gaia

As a way to kill some time before checking in to our hotel a breakfast/brunch visit to Gaia did help towards this, and despite me personally opting for not enough (I’ll make sure to go for a bigger dish next time) we left with a positive view of Gaia. The staff were friendly and helpful here. Everything said we’ll be happy to make another visit to Gaia on a future trip to Prague, maybe even for a cocktail evening.
