Situated in the Derbyshire market town of Ripley is a town centre micropub that is aptly named Ripley’s Little Ale House. Little by name, but is it little for everything else?

I was feeling rather hoptimistic about my latest micropub adventure as I set foot in the Derby suburb of Spondon to visit The Hoptimist, a former hardware store that now provides the tools for a relaxing drink or two.
