Hotel Duo, Prague

By now you’ve probably worked out that we’re big fans of Prague. We like the city sights, the many fabulous places to visit, the vast range of eateries to name a few. Oh, and not to mention the excellent hotels that we’ve stayed in so far (Hotel Amarilis, Red & Blue Design Hotel, and Hotel Atos). In July 2026 we tried out another different hotel in Prague, this time the Hotel Duo which is located outside the main city area but still having excellent public transport connections, which BTW is another thing we like about Prague.
More than a hotel
Hotel Duo is not just a hotel, it also has a restaurant serving lunch and dinner, conference facilities, and a sports and health centre that’s open to hotel guests and the wider public. We would try out the restaurant and leisure offerings during our stay at the Hotel Duo.
The room
We stayed in one of the hotel’s Superior rooms that can accommodate up to three guests, ideal for us with our son who was with us. The room came with twin beds plus a sofa that can be used as a third bed. The room also came with the usual facilities including TV, and a high quality shower room. You can book rooms with a bathroom instead if you prefer.
Breakfast time
Not much to say about the breakfast offering here – it’s the usual continental offering that we’ve come to expect. You have cereals, breads, croissants, meats, hot foods, hot and cold drinks, etc. I should mention that the breakfast rooms, of which there are two of them, are huge so there was no issue with finding a table. Mind you the Hotel Duo is a huge hotel complex and the large rooms were very busy so clearly the space is needed here.
The restaurant
On our first night at Hotel Duo we decided to check out the hotel’s restaurant facility, Food & Mood. The menu has a variety of different dishes available including salads, soups, pasta and rice dishes, pizzas, and heavier meat dishes. In the end I opted to go with a simple margherita pizza, which to be fair wasn’t too bad and helped to fill a hole.
It must be said that the vegan offering on the menu is somewhat limited with only two dishes available. Amoung the vegan dishes available is a Dal – Indian lentil stew with rice and poppadom. My wife and son both went for the dal dish, which was filling enough and perhaps the best that they could have chosen given the very limited vegan range available (the other option is a salad).
We did have dessert afterwards. I went for the Coco & Choco – Coconut and chocolate brownies with coconut flakes. My son opted for a sorbet mix, if I recall he had one scoop raspberry and one scoop lemon.
Health and well-being facilities
Hotel Duo has its own sports and health centre called WellFit which has various facilities including a swimming pool, fitness suite, wellness room, and even a massage facility. The WellFit facilities are open to hotel guests, and also to the public at certain times. My son and I decided to check out the swimming pool one morning, and it’s a good pool facility that’s suitable for both families and solo swimmers. We didn’t check out the other WellFit facilities – maybe another time.
Overall thoughts
All things considered the Hotel Duo is a fantastic hotel complex with so much going for it. The room was very comfortable without and noise issues, the breakfast facilities are good, we like the health facilities and will look to use these again on a future visit. Not to forget about the helpful staff at the hotel. The restaurant might have been a slight let-down in terms of vegan options but it was handy nevertheless and we weren’t still hungry at the end.
Overall we enjoyed our stay at Hotel Duo and would happily return for another stay in the future.
Getting to Hotel Duo
Hotel Duo is a short walk away from Střížkov metro station, which is served by Line C of the Prague Metro.
