Petřín Mirror Maze, Prague
Posted on

If like me you were a fan of The Crystal Maze back in the 1990s you may remember that one of earliest games involved a player trying to navigate a mirror maze where they would have to find the crystal and then make their way out. Now mirror mazes can be really frustrating if you are spending too long trying to get out of them. Luckily for visitors to the Petřín Mirror Maze in Prague there’s no such danger (booooo), well not unless you’re really incompetent.
First, getting to the maze
In The Crystal Maze the competitors first had to overcome various obstacles in order to enter the maze. These obstacles included climbing over fences, crossing a river, or answering a riddle. Here for the Petřín Mirror Maze the challenge is the same as for the Petřín Tower that’s right next door – and that is getting there. Depending which part of Prague you are coming from you’ll either have to take the tougher hilly routes or the more gentle paths.
You may now pay and enter
Having reached the Petrin area and bought your tickets you can now enter the maze. Once in you are greeted with an actual mirror maze, then you can have a laugh looking at you and your mates in various playful mirrors – I won’t say much more, you’ll have to go over and see for yourself.

The Petrin Mirror Maze is another good attraction that is worth visiting especially if going with the family or as part of group. Like most visitor attractions it’s a case of once you’ve been you’ve done it.
Tower and Maze combined
The Petrin Mirror Maze is situated right next to the Petrin Tower which we visited beforehand. You can buy a combined ticket for both the Tower and the Maze if you wish to make a longer stay of it.
