ADAM (Art & Design Atomium Museum)
Right by the Atomium is the ADAM – the Art & Design Atomium Museum, which hosts various permanent exhibits that provide an insight on plastic designs from the 1950s to the present day. There are also a number of temporary exhibits covering design through other forms including other materials.
Atomium
It’s one of the most iconic landmarks in Brussels, standing at a height of 102 meters and consisting of nine steel spheres connected all connected by tubes. Located right by Mini-Europe, The Atomium was originally constructed for a world fair, but is now host to exhibits and other public spaces, whilst also offering some striking views of the Belgium capital.
Mini-Europe
Ever fancied visiting as many landmarks in Europe as possible in as little time as possible? Well there is popular tourist attraction in Brussels where you can do exactly that – well sort of. Located in the Bruparck area of the Belgium capital is Mini-Europe, a park that hosts a whistle-stop tour of Europe where all the landmarks on show are of miniature size when compared to their real counterparts yet look very accurate.
BrewDog Brussels
You are thinking about what to do for evening meal. Ideally you want somewhere that is easy to get to from your hotel, has vegan food available for your partner, and sells good beer as well. Well in Brussels there is a pub that does just that, and it’s run by a British pub chain – BrewDog
Floris Ustel Midi Hotel
Located within a 7-10 minute walk of Brussels Gare du Midi (South Station) is the Floris Ustel Midi Hotel, which was our stay for a couple of nights in the Belgium capital. Having a hotel within such a short distance from the railway station can often be a factor when booking a short stay in a location that you are not all to familiar with, and this was certainly the case when we booked with the Ustel.
