Micropubs

Reviews from my visits to numerous micropubs all over the country – small watering holes that have been converted from various previous uses such as shops, banks, cafes and laundrettes.

Most of these visits cover my old home region of the East Midlands (mostly Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire) but where possible I will cover micropubs from all over the country. All I need to do is visit them and enjoy a pint or two there.

The Last Post, Derby

They do say that ‘small is beautiful’, a saying that is most certainly the case when it comes to micropubs. Small is especially true in regards to Derby micropub The Last Post, a former small post office now delivering a different type of service in the form of real ale (plus other drinks).

The Tap House – Initial Visit

Thriving with several independent businesses, the picturesque Herefordshire town of Ross-On-Wye now has a new small establishment in the form of the town’s first micropub – The Tap House.

York Chambers, Long Eaton

Located in the Derbyshire town of Long Eaton is a small grade two listed building known as York Chambers, and in December 2015 the building opened up as the towns first micropub.

Tap & Growler, Hilltop
